From elegant garlands and glowing banners to sparkling trees, the city’s main boulevards — including Cours de l’Intendance, Victor Hugo, and Sainte-Catherine Street — will twinkle with festive cheer. Shows & Festive Fun

Whether you’re with family, friends, or your other half, Bordeaux is bursting with activities to keep your spirits high. After a day exploring the markets and sipping mulled wine, end on a high note with a magical show.

At the Opéra National de Bordeaux, don’t miss the Radio Classique Christmas Concert (18–21 December), where the audience helps choose the programme! Or, for a dash of wizardry, head to the Arkéa Arena on January 3rd for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in concert — performed live by a 90-piece orchestra. Pure magic.

Travelling with kids? Visit the Bassin des Lumières, the world’s largest digital art centre, for an awe-inspiring underwater-themed exhibition — an immersive, family-friendly experience that will light up everyone’s imagination.
