The Olympia Theatre is a much-loved concert hall and theatre venue on Dublin’s Dame Street. As well as playing host to the best of Irish talent, many renowned international artists have graced the stage over the years, such as David Bowie, the Foo Fighters and even Charlie Chaplin.
The Olympia Theatre’s doors first opened on 22nd December 1879 and was built directly on the site of a former saloon. The theatre has three different levels: the Upper Circle, the Circle and the Stalls. It has a seating capacity of 1,287, up to 1,600 if guests are both seated and standing.
Note: It’s not possible to buy tickets for the boxes at the Olympia Theatre, as they are reserved for guests of the artists, promoters and crew.
