Staycity Aparthotels was this week named Best Operator (201+ units) in the prestigious Serviced Apartment Awards presented on Monday evening [19 March] in a glittering ceremony at London’s Tower Bridge Hotel.

The Dublin-based company was shortlisted in three categories including Industry Inspiration (CEO, Tom Walsh) and Best Property 71+ units (York, Paragon Street).

The judges praised Staycity’s “great sites” and “great customer experiences” as well as its consistency throughout.

“A big attribute is how well the company treats its employees and makes sure good work doesn’t go unnoticed. Furthermore, given how quickly they have grown in the last five years, their continued attention to detail is very commendable.”

Staycity COO Keith Freeman commented: “The team and I are absolutely delighted to have won the Best Operator award in what has been an important year for Staycity with expansion going full steam ahead and the launch of our new premium brand, Wilde.

“Winning this award is a real testament to the success of the brand as it grows across Europe, and the highly motivated, professional team we have recruited that work hard to keep our customer service levels high.”

Earlier this month Staycity opened the doors to its first premium property, Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity, London The Strand. The Wilde brand will be rolled out across gateway city centre locations throughout Europe. The Strand will be followed by a second on Edinburgh’s historic King’s Stables Road, scheduled to open at the end of 2019. Further properties will follow in Manchester and Berlin.
