Staycity opens on historic Dublin site with stylish new lookPublish date: Thu 29 Nov, 2018
Staycity sees the opening of its fourth aparthotel property in Dublin when the 50-apartment building in Chancery Lane, Dublin 8, opens next week [3 December].
Chancery Lane offers 49 studio apartments sleeping up to two people and a two-bed apartment sleeping up to four. Facilities include a Staycafé, serving hot and cold drinks and snacks, guest laundry and 24-hour reception.
The apartments showcase a fresh, new look for Staycity featuring a charcoal colour palette with contrasting pop of sunrise yellow through the kitchenette, light fittings and soft furnishings. Functional storage has been incorporated into the apartment’s design using an in-built bed platform with spacious, easily accessible storage boxes concealed underneath.
“Chancery Lane has a much stronger, contemporary feel to it, signalling a dynamic, bolder look for our apartments that illustrates confidence and style,” commented newly appointed head of design Helen Walsh. “This modern, urban look will appeal to both leisure and corporate guests, particularly with the integrated storage space – great for tucking away bulky items such as suitcases, bags and shoes.”
All apartments come with air conditioning, high-speed broadband, flat screen TV, rainfall shower, super-comfy Hypnos beds and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, twin hob and combo microwave.
Staycity Aparthotels Chancery Lane is within walking distance of Dublin’s vibrant Temple Bar district and a 10-minute taxi ride from 3Arena, Aviva Stadium and Croke Park sporting and concert venue.
The site of the new-build apartments is said to be the birthplace of the well known 18th century Irish revolutionary James Napper Tandy, who was immortalised in the Irish ballad ‘The Wearing of the Green’.
Chancery Lane is the first of four additional properties Staycity will open in Dublin with apartments in Little Mary Street, Mark Street and Moss Street opening in 2020. The Dublin-based company already operates aparthotels in St Augustine Street, Christchurch and Millennium Walk as well as properties in a further nine cities across Europe.
Staycity Group, established up in 2004 by Tom Walsh and his brother Ger, now has 4,500 apartments [operational and pipeline] across the Staycity Aparthotels and Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity brands.
The first of the company’s premium Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity brand was opened earlier this year in London’s Covent Garden, with further Wilde’s to follow in Edinburgh, Manchester and Berlin. staycity.com
