Declan is a member of the Ryan family, Ireland's leading aviation entrepreneurs. He is a former CEO and Board member of Ryanair. He now leads the family investment vehicle, Irelandia. Irelandia holds major strategic stakes in several regional Low Cost Carriers including Tiger Airways based in Singapore and Aerobus in Mexico. They have recently sold their stake in Allegiant Airways in Texas. They also have extensive property and industrial investments.

 

Tom was previously Plant Manager of Henkel Loctite Ireland,a high-tech specialty chemical and biomedical manufacturer with a €150m turnover. Tom was in charge of all Operations, Logistics and Engineering with a staff of 200 employees. He holds a primary degree in Engineering (Dublin) and a first class honours Business degree from UCD. Tom worked part-time for stayCity.com since April 2003, and joined full-time in 2006.

 

Gary was previously Managing Director of Reheis Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Plant manager for Henkel Loctite Ireland with responsibility for investment, design, construction and operation of their biomedical facility. He holds a primary honours degree in Applied Sciences (Dublin) and a first class honours business degree from UCD. Gary joined stayCity.com full-time at the end of 2003. Gary acts as COO.

 

Ger achieved an honours software engineering degree from DCU. Before stayCity.com was founded he worked in the pensions and insurance industry with Exaxe; and with biometrics specialists, Daon. Since 2003, he has been Director of IT and online marketing for stayCity.com.

 

Alan has been on the Board of StayCity.com since July 2007 and has many years experience at senior management and Board room level.  Alan’s executive experience is primarily in small, fast growing companies and throughout his career Alan has repeatedly been responsible for the setting of strategic direction and then the focused execution of this strategy in fast paced international environments. Alan is currently the CEO of EuroCommerce, where he doubled the company revenues twice in 18 months and then successfully sold the company to DataCash.  Prior to that he was a co founder of eWare, which he successfully sold to Computer Associates.  He has also worked in POINT, Oracle and with Masstock/Almarai in Saudi Arabia. 

 

Tom joined the Board in October 2008, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the property sector as a private investor and developer across Europe and the United Arab Emirates. Tom is a former Executive Chairman of Explore Investments Ltd (UK & Europe), a special investments division of Laing O’Rourke PLC, and a former Chairman of Laing O’Rourke Construction (Ireland). He has a wide range of experience in mixed-use regeneration projects including large scale residential developments, retail centres, airports and infrastructure projects.
