The Funniest Festival Ever – Gigglefest Birmingham Starts this Weekend

Birmingham’s very own children’s comedy festival, the famous Gigglefest is back for the fourth time this year with a week of events, workshops, stand up comedy, contests and shows. Starting off this Saturday, the 11th of February, the festival brings up two of the most popular kid’s comedians, James Campbell and Tiernan Douieb. Not to mention the always wonderful Shoofly Theatre who this year will present TWO FOUR SIX EIGHT, a play based around numbers, teaching children how cool the numbers can actually be.

Apart from two workshops, the festival will feature clown shows, stand up comedy, laughter yoga and a Make ‘Em Laugh competition. All shows take place in the Centre for the Child.

Visit the New Pandas at the Edinburgh Zoo

Edinburgh Zoo PandaIn December last, the Edinburgh Zoo had welcomed two new residents to it’s already impressive list of animals, two giant Pandas named Tian Tian and Yuang Guang (translating Sunshine and Sweetie). Both are currently on display and you can come over to see the Pandas for yourself. But beware, given the enormous interest in the animals, the Zoo had introduced a special ticketing system for visitors, meaning that only a limited number of people can visit the Pandas each day.
