2. Visit the Albert Dock
There is no visit to Liverpool without seeing this revolutionary construction. Albert Dock is the very first construction ever in Britain to be made entirely out of cast iron, brick and stone. It is also a prime example of the innovation that Liverpool is famous for. The dock is also the very first one to use the World’s first hydraulic cranes.
Today, the Albert Dock no longer serves its original purpose. Instead the area had become a trendy place for tourists, with such attractions as the Merseyside Maritime Museum, The Beatles Story and Tate Liverpool.
If you are heading there with a family, make sure you check out the Dinosaur Trail, a massive family attraction spread out across the entire dock.

A definite must see is Paul’s family home. This is where everything had begun. The house, located at 20 Forthlin Road is the place where the band played their first rehearsal and also where they penned their first songs.
John’s home is another notable Beatles landmark, as is the famous Cavern Club, a club that witnessed the very first performance of the band. It is also a place where they eventually got discovered by George Epstein.
